Prediction Tuesdays...

AMERICAN GLADIATORS

the adult version of Nickelodeon's Guts. the only show run entirely on steroid fuelled rage.
will make a comeback only this time with a new twist.
The competitors will all be celebrities...causing the new name of the show to be called
GLADIATING WITH CELEBRITIES.

also, due to it's incredible success on youube...

be sure to look out for American Gladiators on DVD complete with Gladiator commentary. I think it would make for a great stocking stuffer, don't you?
(remember the just like horoscopes, these pop culture predictions are just for fun, please don't be sad if you can't find American Gladiators on DVD by X-mas)

Prediction of the day...

Halloween 2007
across the country parents fueled by guilt about giving out candy thereby
"promoting childhood obesity"
will become what they swore as kids they wouldn't become
THE HOUSE ON THE BLOCK THAT GIVES OUT RAISINS AND TOOTHBRUSHES AND PENNIES

the rise in "TRICK" instead of "TREAT" will skyrocket as most of America will spend their November 1sts cleaning up toilet paper, eggs, and shaving cream.

More Prediction Tuesdays...

with the success of krumping and the documentary Rize
there will be a wave of krumping classes at gyms like bally's and crunch
the fitness craze will heighten until (sadly) the entire genre is nothing more than a line of exercise videos (like zumba)
on late night informercials.

Prediction Tuesdays...

And I'm Telling You...
you're gonna loooooove
the song "And I'm Telling You" from the soundtrack to the new movie version of the Broadway musical Dreamgirls...

now, granted I haven't heard the version from the movie yet
(I've only heard older versions and I love the version from the movie Camp)
but i would bet any amount of money that starting around Thanksgiving the new Beyonce version will be all over the radios.
here's a clip from the of the original version by Jennifer Holliday

Prediction of the day...

in the next 8 months to a year
it will be time for you ladies to trade your "tina fey frames" in for
lisa loeb glasses...

that's right!
i promise you they're a-coming back.
i think rhinestones over do it. so stick with tortoise shell
think that i'm kidding? off the mark?
just have a look at this april 2006 posting from
girlswhowearglasses.com

There have been so many of you who’ve been e-mailing us, asking about Lisa Loeb’s glasses! Well, I’ve finally gotten down to the heart of the matter and did some research
they go on to talk about lisa's current frames and how to get them.

and you say, "i only blog what i want to..."

Prediction of the day...

After achieving marginal success with "London Bridge" by simply poorly recreating Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl"

Fergie will feel so empowered and motivated that she will decide to try her hand at her own line of fashions too.
Again, poorly following the path already paved by Gwen with her clothing line L.A.M.B,
Fergie will create her own line B.U.T.T.E.R
(short for Butterface).
The clothes will mirror Fergie's signature style (drawing attention away from her face)
and each item of clothing will feature Fergie's signature "wet spot".

More Prediction Tuesdays...

there will be a hot new music video that parodies Teen Wolf.
Even though it will climb the charts at TRL, no one who actually watches TRL will know the movie it is referencing. They will just think it's a really creative idea for a music video.

It will most likely be a parody by Fall Out Boy, for their latest single:
"Does ANYONE realize that Fall Out Boy is a reference to the comic book series from The Simpsons? Anyone? Come on guys. Look at how funny we are!"

Prediction Tuesdays...

Hello, Hanna-Barbera.
Summer 2008 get ready to Meet the Jetsons...again!
That's right. Live action Jetsons movie.

Starring Greg Kinnear (if Steve Carrell passes) as George Jetson
Cheryl Hines as Jane Jetson
Hilary Duff (aka the Duffster) as Judy
Wanda Sykes as Rosie
and a toss up between Danny Devito/Paul Giamatti as Mr. Spacely
The only question is who will play Elroy and Mr. Cogswell of Cogswell Cogs?
I CANNOT wait for The Flintstones Meet the Jetsons live action movie!

Prediction Tuesdays!

Michael Jackson Captain EO rainbow shirts will make a comeback in the next 6 months.
but NOT as an "ironic 80's ironed on at home" t-shirt with a creepy picture of MJ's face;
instead it will be an over priced perfectly pre washed super soft urban outfitters shirt.
and as much as i'll complain about the price and hipster kitsch, i'm going to be first in line to buy one.

if you have a spare 20 minutes you can click here to watch CAPTAIN EO in its entirety...
it's way better then the version i have at home: a bootleg copy from the family vacation where my dad thought it would be fun to see if it would play in 3D if we stole the glasses and watched it at home...it didn't work
